Estee Lauder Mad Men Collection

The launch of this limited-edition duo is obviously timed perfectly to sync with the start of season 5 of Mad Men (March 25th).

The lipstick ($25) in Cherry and creme rouge ($40) in Evening Rose are pretty classic colors and the packaging is perfectly '60s... so much so that I swear I've seen identical items on my grandmother's dressing table or (not to be too morbid) and have picked up at recent estate sales. From the pattern on the boxes (actually inspired by EL packaging from the '60s) to the heavy-looking, metallic, fluted compact and lipstick tube, the tiniest details (blue faux-jewel clasp) are quite true to the era's aesthetic. 

Paying $40 for a blush is, well, not really something I do but I might if that lucious compact it comes in is reusable.

It's available online and at Bloomingdales starting in March.
