Jelly Pong Pong first ever flagship opens in London

Jelly Pong Pong

Cult cute cosmetic brand Jelly Pong Pong opens its first ever flagship store in London tomorrow. The brand is part tongue-in-cheek silliness and part dream world with eye makeup called Single and Lovin' It and Gourmet Lip Therapy where sweet glosses are hidden between the pages of miniature books. The brand might be a bit girlie for some, but it is endless fun and never takes itself too seriously, which is refreshing (although the website is a bit hard to move around).

Look out for their new Trifle Lip Tints at the flagship opening. We say welcome to London and, more importantly, the up-and-coming beauty mecca of the West End... Covent Garden.

New and good: Korres Guava lip butter

Photobucket

Brand new from Korres, the Guava Lip Butter (£6) is already a firm favourite (we've been testing them since mid-December). They're enriched with shea butter and rice wax and free from nasties like mineral oil and ethanolamine. It’s a healthier option for keeping lips in tip-top condition through harsh, cold outdoor weather and bone-dry heated houses during the winter. And with stars like Charlize Theron and Goldie Hawn counted as fans of the original Guava Body Butter, we’re sure this is going to be a similarly addictive treat. We like the Wild Rose lip butter too (has a very subtle and flattering red tint).

ck Calvin Klein colour cosmetics coming to Europe

Whew. That's alot of alliteration. But we thought you might be interested to know that ck Calvin Klein Beauty colour cosmetics will be available at Sephora online in the US from January and we hear rumours they'll be doing a Europe push at Milan Fashion Week. Expect ck Calvin Klein Beauty skincare in 2008 as well. They've created the range in partnership with Markwins, the owners of Wet 'n' Wild, The Spa Institute, Black Radiance and The Color Workshop among others.

We are interested to see what their formulations are and where products are manufactured.
