Trish McEvoy at Harvey Nichols

Trish McEvoy is holding Make Up Master Classes at the London Harvey Nics to take you through the beauty paces for S/S 08. Personally, if I had the chance to meet Trish face-to-face, I'd do it in a hot second. She's an iconic beauty artist in the US (second only to Bobbi Brown) and has a simple, light-handed approach to beauty that is very refreshing and will be great for summer. She's also penned definitive books on makeup artistry, including Trish McEvoy: The Power of Makeup: Looking Your Level Best at Every Age. The Master Classes all takes place in the posh Fifth Floor Restaurant (champagne and nibbles will be served too). To book tickets to either event below, call the Trish McEvoy counter (020 7235 5000 ext. 2691).

UK cult products in the US: Daniel Sandler

The UK's creating a bit of a stir in world of beauty as well as fashion nowadays. With everyone from top facialists like Vaishaly Patel to hair experts Andrew Barton and James Brown creating eponymous lines, it was only a matter of time before the demand overseas for British beauty goods started to grow in earnest (let's be honest. US Vogue's always had a bit of a crush on all things British anyway).

So it's with bated breath that Americans await the arrival of Daniel Sandler's makeup range in the US this spring. From his award-winning Watercolour Blushes (think Benetint in 12 different shades) to other great fixes like Perfect Canvas, Wash of Colour, Hide It and a range of brushes, it's a robust professional-grade line for at-home use.

With a client list that includes the likes of Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell, beauty lovers stateside should look forward to snapping up these English imports as soon as they hit American shores.

New and noteworthy: CR by Coco Ribbon

Luxury lifestyle brand Coco Ribbon, present their new beauty line The ethereally girlie Coco Ribbon has, after years of sourcing the lovliest stuff around, finally taken the leap into producing their own products in the new CR by Coco Ribbon range. Its oils, lotions and creams all come in signature Coco Ribbon packaging with names that suggest the delicate nature of (we hope) both the fragrance and the products themselves. Products include the Angel Skin bath oil, Dream body cream and Little Miracle balm for the lips after two years of formulation in France.

Where can you buy it? Selfridges Living Beauty and, of course, Coco Ribbon stores. We have yet to do a test running (still working on the Rodial facial) but as soon as we have a chance to get all oiled up we'll report our findings.
