Finnish beauty: Lumene in the UK

We're big on the northern European beauty products. Iceland has a slew of great brands like Taer, Moa, Skyn, Dr. Bragi et al. Norway is home to the famed Linda Johansen and, of course, there's Face Stockholm. Now you can get one of Finland's biggest drugstore brands in the UK. For now, Lumene is only available at two Boots (Sheffield and Bristol?) but it's already available in the US at both Target and CVS.com. What do we know about the line? Not too much. We had a look through the website and CVS (and scanned the shelves at the local Target yesterday) and it's super affordable stateside (everything's less than five quid)... the Vitamin C beauty drops stood out (Arctic cloudberry, Arctic lingonberry, vitamin C). The line says it's based on Finnish nature and nanotechnology, so we're taking that as using native Finnish ingredients and the latest skincare technology (FYI: they cannot be certified organic by the Soil Association if they use nanotechnology though). Trials to be done soon and more definitive info will be uploaded here.

Have any of you ever used Lumene? How does it compare to other upscale drugstore ranges, like Avene and No. 7? Is it more of the same or does it stand apart? Watch this space for more reporting from foreign shores soon.
