I think I'm turning Japanese

First anime-inspired Fafi for MAC and now Harajuku Lovers perfume by Gwen Stefani (really? More perfumes?). The Japanese idea of cute (Kawaii) is cropping up everwhere in the west. I feel a bit funny about it as I'm not a fan of the horribly oppressed cutesy thing but a bit removed it is rather, well... cute. As long as no one expects us to be wide-eyeded, submissive, giggling schoolgirl types, I can deal with the fluffy, bubbly stuff. There's even a cute brand of beauty prods in Japan.
