Recession beauty tip: face cloths

Instead of shelling out 2 bob a pop for a muslin face cloth to use with your cleansing balms (or any cleanser, really, as they're great for getting dirt and makeup off... finger pads don't work nearly as well for this purpose), go to a fabric shop and buy a meter of the stuff for 2 quid. That way you'll have a year's worth of muslin for the same price as a single square in the shop. The only difference is that the squares you cut won't have surged edges and the cloth might not be organic (although I do know the Cloth House does do organic fabric). All in all, the homemade ones work a treat.
